Nicola Griffiths

Nicola Griffiths is a Marketing Specialist with eleven years brand management experience, a degree in marketing and a professional marketing diploma. After moving from the UK to Australia to achieve a better quality of life for her family Nicola discovered the wonderful world of the VA. She set up her successful virtual marketing business in November 2009 and hasn’t looked back.

Nicola has a special blend of corporate brand management experience mainly gained in the UK mixed with creativity, passion and life experience.

She works to her own personal core values which are being honest, reliable, friendly and balanced.

Liz Parker

As an experienced CEO, National IT Centre Manager and a certified Workplace Trainer and Assessor, Liz started her business, www.121temps.com, a few years ago and has helped hundreds of virtual assistants set up and operate a successful home-based business.  A few months later she also set up www.vaplacements.com to provide a free recruitment service to clients who were looking for high quality virtual assistants.

Her passion is to help the industry move forward and to lobby key decision makers on the benefits of providing training and financial support to virtual assistants to ensure that they can continue to operate their business and keep the lifestyle that suits them best.

Brad Redman

I initially joined the insurance industry in 1998, and I became an Insurance Broker in 2002. Over the years I've performed a range of functions including Car and Home and CTP Insurance Underwriting, Personal Insurance Broking, Workers Compensation Insurance Broking, Small Business Insurance Broking, Construction Insurance Broking, Farm Insurance Broking, Sports Insurance Broking and High Hazard Business Insurance Broking.
Specialties

I specialise in identifying risks and transferring the financial aspect those risks to insurance companies. I've worked with a wide range of businesses and industries and I'm very comfortable with supplying a very broad range of insurance policies including but not limited to Property insurance; Motor Vehicle and Machine Insurance; Public, Product and Professional Liability insurance and everything in between.

Helen Compton

Being new to the VA industry Helen found VIVA 09 an excellent source of information and support and is keen to bring the message to others either just starting out in the industry or considering being a VA.

With an eclectic range of skills and abilities Helen’s passions are training, delivering training both in-house and over the web, and information management. The best thing about being a VA – “freedom to choose the work I do and the hours I do”. The challenges of being a VA – “keeping a straight face on the phone with my dogs climbing over me because they have decided it is play time!”

Susanne Hopfner

Suzanne

Susanne established her VA business edos Ewingar Document & Office Services in 2007 and was the Program Co-ordinator for the first VIVA Conference in 2009. Building on a successful career in the corporate arena of the Queensland public sector, Susanne entered the virtual business world when she relocated to her rural property in Northern NSW. No longer satisfied with the demands and life style of being an employee in a large organisation, Susanne is now using her writing, extensive administration and business support skills to assist her clients to achieve their goals.

Living 30km from the nearest village on top of a hill, Susanne appreciates the advantages of operating a business from home to conquer the geographical and cultural divides between city and country folk. edos has recently been selected by the local Council as a case study to contribute to the publication of the 2010 Living the Dream magazine, aimed at attracting more residents to the highly diverse local government area.
